Dr Ahmed Hashim

Ahmed S. Hashim is Associate Professor of War Studies at the Australian War College in Weston Creek, ACT and Deakin University. He specialises in the study of Future War, Emerging Disruptive Technologies, high-intensity conventional warfare and insurgency and counterinsurgency operations. He is the author of several articles on Middle Eastern and Asian security issues and of several books on irregular warfare. His forthcoming book is titled Iranian Ways of War: From Cyrus the Great to Qassem Soleimani (2024) and Small Wars in the Middle East and Central Asia (2024).
